It is impossible to imagine what it must be like to be faced with the horrendous conditions that drought and famine bring for children, mothers, the elderly and families.

We continue to stand with our dear friends and partners in the community of Sefi Beret in Ethiopia. Thanks to your giving last year, at the first threat of drought, we were able to set up an initiative with the local Government which targeted the 770 children in the primary school, providing them with daily food relief, enabling them to continue their education and giving support to local families who were struggling to feed themselves.

The school and families have sent their thanks and deep appreciation to us, and everyone who contributed to the appeal.

The seed distribution project for 700 of the poorest families has made a difference but the lack of rains means that there is still not enough to go around.

As we continue to stand with our dear friends at this time of crisis, we would like to continue to send food relief for the 770 children in the school until the threat is averted.

If you would like to help you can donate through our Give.Net page, by cheque, or an online deposit (details below). All the money that you send will go to the project. A team from CPA will soon be making a field trip to meet with local people and bring back an update.

We, and the families in Sefi Beret, are very thankful for your help.

With best wishes
The CPA Team
