Jehovah Shalom, Lord of Peace, we pray for those currently living in isolation and fear. May they know your presence in their isolation, your peace in their turmoil, and your patience in their waiting. Prince of Peace, you are powerful and merciful.
In these unprecedented times in which we are living, feel free to use this short update to help you pray for our friends in Africa. As well as the much bigger picture going on across the continent of Africa, please see the latest statistics for two countries CPA is currently active in. (as of Tuesday 31st March)
Uganda currently has 33 active cases of the Covid-19 corona virus with no deaths.
Ethiopia has 23 cases with 1 recovered and no deaths.
- Good decisive, wise and mindful leadership is required at a time like this, pray for
- Sahle-Work Zewde President of Ethiopia and his government
- President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and his government
- Please also lift to the Lord the children from Komamboga who are now living with their respective families and guardians in lockdown in Uganda. Pray for their wellbeing and peace while away from school and isolated from friends.
- The children at St Paul’s School, Rukungiri are also at home from school. Please pray for their ability to cope with the bewilderment of not really knowing what’s going on and the pressure this can bring to bear on the families and guardians. Pray also for adequate food to sustain them all during this challenging time.
- Pray for our project workers working on the ground to help and support all on our projects.
May El Shaddai, the Lord God Almighty, who loves us, protect us and our African friends.
May Jesus Christ His Son, who died for us, save us.
May the Holy Spirit, who broods over the chaos and fills us with his presence, intercede for us and in us, for others at this time.
